In fact, the new style of graphics gives the game an entire new feel. At first, this might not seem like an improvement. For one, the smooth flash-style graphics are replaced with 16-bit SNES-type graphics. While the plot has remained essentially the same as the original game, the presentation has undergone impressive changes. In fact, this style of plot suits the game more than well. However, this isn’t necessarily a negative. Despite this interesting concept, the game is not very plot-driven. The various levels of the basement are actually a reference to the levels of hell. It is filled with horrifying creatures and abominations that Isaac must defeat.
However, the basement is not like a normal basement. However, it is Isaac’s mother who hears “the voice of God.” The voice tells her to kill Isaac, your character, and so Isaac escapes to the basement. The entire game follows an alternate version of the biblical story of Isaac. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is an incredible remake of an already genre-defining game.Īs in the original, the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth’s plot relies heavily on biblical reference.
